1. MAT KILAU TOMB 

Mat Kilau Tomb is a historical site in Jerantut, Pahang, which serves as the final resting place of a famous warrior and leader named Mat Kilau, son of Imam Rasu @ Tok Gajah. Mat Kilau was a legendary figure in the history of Malaysia who fought against British colonialism during the late 19th century. The tomb is located in a serene and peaceful environment surrounded by lush greenery. Tourists who visit the tomb can learn about the history of Mat Kilau and his contributions to the country. 



2. MAT KILAU GALLERY

This next interesting place in Jerantut has a history theme. Mat Kilau Gallery which has been built since 2015 is one of the tourist attractions. This gallery showcases the history around the Jerantut district which is mostly Malay warriors such as Mat Kilau, Pawang Noh, Tok Gajah and many others.

Pictures and old items such as weapons used by Pahang warriors in the past can also be seen here. What is even more fun, the exhibition here displays various forms such as statues, visuals, pictures and audio to attract the interest of tourists.

For history lovers, I recommend that you come to these four places to gather information about our nation's heroes while also being able to cultivate the spirit of love for the country when remembering their services. The gallery operates every day from 9AM to 6PM and the fee charged is only RM 2.

3. GALLERY & TOMB OF PAWANG NONG 

 Pawang Nong, also known as Haji Nong Taib bin Santan, was a famous healer and martial artist who lived in Kampung Ulu Cheka, Jerantut, Pahang. He was a follower and fought alongside the legendary Pahang warrior Mat Kilau against the colonialists. He founded the village of Kampung Ulu Cheka and served as the first village head. He was also the founder of the Kampung Ulu Cheka Mosque and was a renowned pawang or traditional healer. Tourist can visit Pawang Nong's Gallery to know the history of this warrior.  Pawang Nong's tomb can be visited at Kampung Ulu Cheka Mosque, Jerantut. His services were so remarkable that a national primary school was named after him to honor his contributions in fighting for the Malay people in the past.

4. KOTA GELANGGI CAVE

This cave started become another tourist spot. Kota Gelangi Cave located 30KM away from Jerantut town, 30 mins drive. 60 KM from Taman Negara, 1 hrs drive. Kota Gelanggi Cave is a name for the place. Actually that is total of 11 cave located at the area and open for public. Separate by 2 category – Easy Cave Tour, suitable for young kids even 4 years old and Adventure Cave Explore. Before doing the cave exploration, 2 important things you have to prepare, touch light or headlamp, and trekking shoe. Guide is needed for the cave tour, if you come yourself, you won’t found the “Hidden Gems”.

Be prepare to get dirty or wet. Certain part is muddy after rain. You need use your skill to squeeze into a small hole, climbing, and crawling. This is an adventure Cave Exploration.  You will visit the Gua Gajah kepala, Gua Angin, Gua Gajah, Gua Sanding and Gua Gelap . You will get to witness the majestic living minerals in the cave and of course not forgetting the flora & fauna. Duration to explore all this cave around 2hrs – 3hrs depend on group size

For Easy Cave tour that is well platform, no squeezing, no crawling, easy walk. From the ticket entrance you will found a map show the cave : Gua Terang Bulan, Gua Balai, and Gua Tongkat is just locate on the road side. This is possible to visit by your self. Duration to explore around 1hrs. Although is an easy cave tour, you still need to bring along torch light with you. If you are lucky, you may spotted cave racer and some unit insect at Gua Terang Bulan.

5. BALAI CAVE

Balai Cave is a cave in Jerantut Pahang that has been made as one of the recreation areas or relics for you to visit. In addition to gaining knowledge about the history of this cave, you can get a quiet atmosphere and privacy here.
Balai Cave is an old cave in Jerantut, Malaysia where people lived more than 1,500 years ago. Archaeologists found many tools, bones, and human remains from the cave. In the 19th century, it was used for tin mining and as a shelter during wars. Today, Balai Cave is a popular tourist spot and scientists study the cave to learn about its history and wildlife.

6. I-CITY JERANTUT

Don't think that only Shah Alam has I City but Jerantut is no less great. This interesting place in Jerantut illuminated by colorful lights is the newest playground and recreation park in the Jerantut district.

The playground located near the Jerantut District Police Headquarters has successfully attracted visitors to come and relax with their families at night. The lights at night are the attraction of this place to visitors.

The Jerantut District Council managed to provide this relaxing and resting area with all facilities. There are various activities here that you must try such as the mini train, the big swing known as the eye on Jerantut and also don't miss the stalls for you to eat.

7. NATIONAL PARK 

This Malaysian National Park was opened in 1938 and its estimated area is around 4,343.   This National Park is located between the borders of 3 states namely Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu. For your information, to start climbing, Kuala Tahan and Merapoh are the starting points for climbing in the National Park following Mount Tahan  being the highest point in Peninsular Malaysia. 

There is a variety of flora and fauna that are protected here, even mammals that are almost extinct such as tigers, elephants, moths, tenuks and kangaroos are also preserved here. 

In addition to mountain climbing and jungle trekking, you can rent a canoe and go sightseeing on the river. Truly this place gives you an exciting adventure experience. Various facilities are available here including an observation hut that allows you to see wild animals from a distance.
